At allride, we are creating a future where mobility is flexible, sustainable, and intelligently connected to energy. Our goal is to offer mobility solutions that go beyond traditional bike and car sharing—solutions that create real added value for neighborhoods, businesses, institutions, and the environment.
A prime example is the Papieri site in Cham—a neighborhood in transformation, with allride right at its center.
In the heart of Cham, a vibrant urban district is emerging on the site of the former paper mill, with around 1,000 jobs and just as many homes. For this new living space, allride and Cham Immobilien AG have developed a comprehensive mobility concept: seven strategically placed electric vehicles provide residents, businesses, and visitors with flexible, easily accessible mobility right at their doorstep. But this is just the beginning.
From smart mobility to active energy solutions
As part of the “Grid-Optimised Charging” pilot project by ZUG ALLIANCE, we are testing how our shared vehicles can not only serve as flexible transportation but also function as mobile energy storage units. allride is proud to contribute as a mobility partner and to scale and expand these mobility solutions to other locations, using the experience gained in Cham.
This way, the allride fleet at the Papieri site becomes part of the district’s energy infrastructure: it can store electricity from renewable sources. As part of the AMAG Group, we are working with ZUG ALLIANCE partners, Helion Energy, and the Volkswagen Group to realise one of the world’s largest V2X field projects with Volkswagen vehicles. The Papieri site is one of the key starting points for this pilot project, along with other locations in Cham.
What we offer and why it matters
With allride, we offer more than just mobility solutions. We develop tailored offerings for real estate developments, companies, municipalities, and institutions—from vehicle fleets to digital booking systems and innovative charging solutions. Our goal: to share mobility, reduce CO₂ emissions, and at the same time increase comfort and quality of life. The Papieri site is a prime example of what allride stands for: sustainable mobility that goes beyond the vehicle. We connect people, neighborhoods, and energy—paving the way for a climate-friendly future.
